Day 1: Lake Manyara/Mtowambu
After breakfast, you will drive to Mtowambu town, a town on the floor of the Great rift valley, for a guided village tour. In this small but very busy town where people belonging to all 120 tribes in Tanzania live together you will have opportunity to see typical daily life of Tanzanians. Your walking guide who comes from that area will take you to rice and banana plantations where you will interact with the people working in their farms, you will visit a school and carvings factory where the famous “makonde” use ebony black wood to carve different statues. You will then continue to Lake Manyara national park for game drive with picnic lunch. In this small but very beautiful park with dense forest you will have opportunity to see lots of monkeys, giraffes, elephants, impalas, dik-dik, flamingos in the lake and if you are lucky, you may spot the rare tree climbing lions. You will later continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch and drive to Ngorongoro crater for a full day of game drive.The crater has a good number of lions and cheetahs, and it is another good place to see the rare black rhino. In the late afternoon continue to Serengeti national park for dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will have morning and afternoon game drives in the central Serengeti national park with early departure looking for active predators. Serengeti is the park with the largest concentration of big mammals in the world and it is where you will see most of your exciting wildlife. The sightings in the central Serengeti will include prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, dik-dik, monkeys, baboons, gazelles, warthogs and many more. All meals and overnight will be at the camp.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park/Tarangire
After breakfast you will have morning game drive in Serengeti national park. In the late afternoon continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Tarangire National Park/Departure
After an early breakfast, you will depart for a full day of game drive in Tarangire National Park. This Park has the largest concentration of elephants, often seen bathing in the Tarangire river or in some ponds, lots of giraffes, monkeys, impalas and many birds. It is also one of the best places to see lions, leopards and lions. In the late afternoon you return back to Arusha for your departure.
