Day 2: Kilimanjaro
Today you set off towards Mount Kilimanjaro for an awesome hike. Drive to the Moram Barrier, where your hike to the spectacular Shira Plateau starts. It will take about 1.5 hours to reach the Shira Plateau, which is situated on the slopes of the Kilimanjaro. This plateau stretches out over 13 kilometers and shows the remains of a volcanic crater. This hike on the base of Kilimanjaro will give you an excellent view of the highest mountain in Africa. Later that day you hike back to the Moram Barrier and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Read more about Kilimanjaro.

Day 3: Monduli
This morning you drive early to Burka Coffee Estate in Arusha for a coffee tour. Later you continue your journey to Meserani Snake Park in Monduli, where you can see and learn about snakes and other reptiles that live in Africa. There is also an informative Maasai museum where Maasai Warriors can tell you all about their culture and lifestyle. From here, your camel ride to a nearby Maasai village starts. The Maasai people will welcome you with a special dance and one of the elder Maasai will sit with you to explain their traditional way of life. There is also an option to visit a Maasai school and traditional Maasai doctor who cures diseases by using traditional medicines. In the afternoon you head off to a local market to get a first-hand experience in how Tanzanian people actually live and do business. In the late afternoon you drive to your Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast, you drive to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch for a game drive. This lovely park boasts the largest concentrations of elephants in the world and the highest number of breeding bird species. Especially during the dry season, Tarangire National Park is packed with wildlife. Big cats like lions, cheetahs and leopards, but also the seldom seen Kudu, Oryx and Gerenuk. The Tarangire River draws huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, as well as predators who prey upon them. Later in the afternoon you drive for dinner to the Lodge. Enjoy a night game drive after dinner. Discover nocturnal animals like porcupines, pangolin, aardvark and others. Overnight will be at a Tented Camp. Read more about Tarangire National Park.

Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park

Cycle to the lake shore where there are stunning vistas of the lake, the Rift Valley and small herds of wildlife. After 2 to 3 hours, you hop in the safari vehicle to continue for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This Park is known for its huge soda lake filled with pink-hued flamingos, large population of baboons, incredible birdlife and breathtaking views. There is a big chance you can see the Great Migration of wildebeest crossing the Grumeti River in this area of the Serengeti between June and August. The herds must outsmart the huge Nile crocodiles and fast flowing water before facing predators waiting on the other side. An amazing spectacle. Dinner and overnight are at the beautiful your Lodge. Read more about Serengeti National Park.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park (west)
Another full day of game viewing in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives, moving with the herds across the savannah exploring the Great Migration. A great experience to see all those hoofed mammals, followed by iconic predators, migrate in a clockwise circle every year. Enhance your safari experience by flying in a hot air balloon over the Serengeti plains at sunrise. Spot wildlife below when you float over the beautiful African savannah. A magical experience with wonderful panoramic views (additional costs). If you want to spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo- all in one park, then Serengeti is also one of the best places to do so. Return back to your Lodge for dinner and overnight. The views from the lodge over the Serengeti are bombs.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park (central)
Today you depart for a game drive in the central part of the Serengeti. This part is famous for the abundance of lions and leopards that can usually be seen quite easily. Game viewing in this central area is spectacular all year round. Enjoy the views of endless plains and stunning wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, ostrich, aardvark, pangolin and many more. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater
Today you set off towards the Ngorongoro Crater for your last game drive. It shelters close to 30.000 animals including the Big Five. The crater teems with zebras, buffaloes, lions, wildebeest, warthogs, baboons, elephants, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, cheetahs and a small population of the rare black rhino. The beautiful colors and dancing clouds make the crater almost surreal. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders. In the late afternoon you drive to where you will sleep at your Lodge for dinner and overnight. Read more about the Ngorongoro Crater.
